Skinfood Peach Green Tea BB Cream Review & Swatch!

Hello everyone! Hope everyone is having a good week ^_^!

Today I am going to be reviewing the Skinfood Peach Green Tea BB Cream in #02 Natural beige!

If you guys are interested definitely keep reading! I have included swatches and how it looks on mah face as well!

For those who are do not know my skin type, here’s the low down on it!:

SO CUTE! Looks like a cute bottle of tea! I threw away my box already and lost the picture I took of the packaging T__T

Claims & Description:

Skinfood has a range of “Good Afternoon” BB Creams (each “flavor” has it’s own set of claims and benefits) and what attracted me to this particular “flavor was their this statement:

““An oil-controlling and skin-mattifying BB cream that keeps skin fresh and matte with vitamin-enriched peach extract and sebum-regulating green tea”

Knowing that my skin is an oil slick, keeping my skin fresh and matte sounded pretty good to me! I love anything with green tea so naturally I gravitated towards this little baby.

Onto my thoughts about their bold claims!

OIL CONTROL/MATTIFYING:

Usually I have to blot around 12 but when I apply this bb cream, I can get away with not blotting until 2 or 3. It wasn’t a miracle worker for me in terms of oil control but its better than other oil controlling products I’ve tried.

FRESH:

Definitely keeps your skin looking fresh and natural!!

Color:

It is available in 2 different shades #1 Light Beige and #2 Natural Beige

Unfortunately it does not have a wide spectrum of color choice but you can always mix it in with a darker foundation or BB cream if you still want those BB benefits!

It’s pretty light but sometimes I can get away with not mixing it in with my Missha perfect cover bb in #27. I am around an NC 30-NC 35 I believe. Most of the time I do mix the two though!

It does oxidize after 20 mins-ish thought but I like to be on the safe side and mix!

Coverage:

It's definitely light-medium (buildable) coverage but I mean it evens out your skin SO WELL! I was totally surprised how well it covered redness and toned down my scars! The picture is what it looks like after 2 layers and spot concealing.

Scent:

It has a slight scent. Doesn’t really smell like green tea or peach. Can’t really explain it but it smells really nice and fresh! The scent wears off within a few minutes anyways so you don’t have to worry about smelling like tea all day.

Finish:

The finish itself is not matte, its more like a semi-dewy, fresh face and very natural looking which I really like!

Lasting Power:

The lasting power is also awesome and I like how it doesn’t begin to break apart throughout the day so thank you skinfood ^^!

PROs:
Moisturizing
Blends easily into the skin
Feels light on the skin
Buildable - evens out skin nicely

CONs:
Only 2 shades available - both shades pretty light
Will have to buy online if not in Asia or have a Skinfood store nearby
